I praise God because He is the who preserved the Bible and it changed my whole life. It saved me from the evil one. Even though there are lot of arguments, and fighting against the Bible but at last, the will of God is the one who followed. I thank God also for those brave people who has fought for it from the hands of some who wants to insert the other books which is not included to the cannon.
Bible is not just a simple compilation of books, but it is the Word of God. In John 1: 1, it confirms that Jesus Christ is the Word. We must respect the Bible because it is God's Word for us and it is our basis in our faith and doctrine. For me, Bible is very important and for all Christians.
Some people are argued about the Bible that it is not the Word of God because it is written only by human. Of course, God will use human to wrote the Bible because the one who will read the Bible is human also and it is amazing because in many different writers and in different time of writings, it never contradicts with each other. Seemingly contradiction but the reality is not. All people who wrote the Bible are so deeply in loved with God and they faithfully recorded the Word of God.
For me, Bible is my basis of my living here on earth even though sometimes I fail to do it what is written there. I loved God and I loved His Word which is the Bible and Bible itself says in John 1: 1 that Jesus Christ is the Word. Jesus Christ who saved my life. Thank you Lord for giving such gift to us which is the Bible.

I was blessed that I have this subject because I will know the history of the Church that I have follow. Many lives that being sacrifice to fight for God's Church. I know that God is the one who sustain His Church but it is not easy for the church fathers to fought for it. They have this lot of arguments with other leaders with other belief to prove what is true. They are the one who fixed our doctrine that is why it is more easy to us to study our doctrines because of them. Yes, it is true that we can say that we will have also hard time to study it but it is more easy to study for us if we compare it to their study.

I thanked God for He is good for them that they have this heart to follow God in the midst of persecution. I was sad when I saw and read that Christians being persecuted because of their faith to Jesus. But I believe to their faith and trust in God because even in the midst of life and death, they did not forsake Jesus. They are willing to be killed because of their faith in God. It such a big encouragement for me as a Christian to face any persecution in my life.

Persecution in the Philippines is more lightly if I compare to their time. They fed into the lion and being hang in the cross to be a torch light. Some of them is being beheaded and put their head in a pole as a decoration.

For me, I don't have reason to deny Jesus because of persecution. I already knew that I am saved by the grace of God and Bible said that "don't be afraid to those who can kill your body but instead, afraid to the one who can kill your soul" which is God that saved Christians on church fathers time and also God that saved my life. Then whom shall I fear.

I prayed to God that in the time of persecution in my life, I will be a blessing to those who persecute me and they will be able see in me the love of Christ to them. I know that I can't love them because as a human, it is hard to love those people who will kill you but the thing is, I am not in that place because I love them but I am in that place incidentally to show God's love to them through my life which God knows it already before it happens.
